One ember by itself quickly becomes a deadened coal...but when you stir the embers together they easily carry the heat and gain the ability to create a strong blaze.

The Strong & Steady Flame

You know how a fire can wane depending on the continual supply of wood and it’s qualitative makeup? But, when continuously fed with wood of good substance it’s blaze remains strong and steady for longer periods of time?

I couldn’t help but think how much that reflects us!
We must remain fueled in God’s Word and His truth. I thought of how my own ember has blazed and waned in a direct reflection of my amped up fuel, sparse supply of fuel, dense fuel, and brittle fuel.
 1. We need to be fueled in God’s Word just like a fire needs to be fed.
 2. When we are in God’s Word and walking in truth our heart is greater equipped to carry a strong and steady flame.

We EMBERS need to constantly allow ourselves to be stirred in — even when the stoking process can be uncomfortable. This was vital for me when my own fire was weak; other embers helped blaze me forward and deeper into God’s truth. But, most importantly we must remain fueled in God and His unwatered down truth in order to remain a continuous, strong, and healthy blaze for His plan and purpose in and through our lives!
